Q: Why Ultherapy? How does it work differently from other skin treatments like a facelift, radio-frequency or lasers?
A: What makes Ultherapy so innovative is that it takes advantage of ultrasound, which is a time-tested, safe technology.
Ultrasound waves are able to reach the same structural area of the skin as cosmetic surgery without the risks and downtime associated with going under the knife. And, unlike radio-frequency or lasers, it’s is precise. Focused ultrasound bypasses the surface of the skin, depositing tiny amounts of energy to clearly-defined depths under the skin. The body responds to the energy by jumpstarting the skin’s regenerative process from the inside out, which promotes collagen production and encourages cellular turnover.
Q: How long does it take to see the results of Ultherapy?
A: The results of Ultherapy are gradual and natural.
You will usually see some lifting and firming of the skin at around two months after treatment. The look of your skin will continue to improve and the maximum benefit of the treatment to the skin will be seen in about six to seven months. This occurs as the body’s natural healing ability continues to repair the treatment area, which usually leads to more youthful-looking skin on the face, neck, chin, brow and/or décollete.
Q: Ultherapy pain : Does Ultherapy hurt? Is it safe?
A: It’s a great treatment alternative to surgery, which is one of the many reasons Ultherapy complaints are not common.
Most patients report that any mild discomfort experienced due to the heat of the Ultrasound energy is worth the toning and lifting benefit that the treatment provides for the skin. There’s usually no downtime and patients can return to routine, non-strenuous activity immediately following the treatment.
Q: How many Treatments will I need?
A: Ultherapy may be performed up to two times a year,
depending on the treatment outcome you desire and the laxity of your skin. Some clients opt to do maintenance sessions every two years or so.
