Face Mapping for Skin | Nicole Contos Insider Tips
I’m all about skin renewal at Smooth Synergy, NYC. So it’s a perfect time to talk Face Mapping. The philosophy behind this ancient Chinese practice goes like this: since our skin is our largest organ, any imbalances in the body will show up there. We’re talking changes in color, texture or appearance of the skin on the face. By analyzing these changes, we can figure out the internal causes of skin imperfections. By fixing the causes, the skin will heal — to sum it up: Healthy Body, Healthy Skin. That’s a win-win to me! Here’s more on Face Mapping for Skin:
Face Mapping : FOREHEAD
Skin changes on the forehead represent toxic buildup in the liver and gallbladder, likely due to a fatty diet, too many processed foods or excessive alcohol consumption. Try thinking simple with a low-glycemic, balanced diet of lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats.
Face Mapping : UNDER THE EYES
Any puffiness or dark circles under eyes suggests imbalance in the stomach, kidneys and liver. To flush the system, remove alcohol, caffeine, salt and sugar from your diet and replace with a cleansing tea or plenty of water. And don’t forget to get eight hours of restorative rest.
Face Mapping : CHIN / JAWLINE AREA
This area is connected to the reproductive organs and colon. Any skin imperfections here have likely been triggered by stress or hormonal imbalances. Avoid eating close to bedtime, keep stress low by getting 20 minutes of exercise or meditation each day, and adopt a habit of early to bed and early to rise.
